Where is CrestHawk? Perhaps you should be asking...'when' is CrestHawk!?

There've been several rumors floating around the Hotel lately about our dear Habbo Hotel Staff member CrestHawk. We've got some good news...and some bad news regarding his situation. The bad news is that we've completely misplaced the poor guy and have had no idea where the heck he could have gone! But the good news is that we might have just been given a clue as to where he went. Don't be alarmed, but 'might' is bold because we don't know exactly if it's a where...or a when!

An 8-BIT TRIP in the THIRD DIMENSION!

That's right folks, we have some pretty substantial evidence that CrestHawk has somehow broken the space-time continuum and was sucked several thousand years into the past (somehow without a Flux Capacitor). We first heard the reports from fellow Habbo Staffer Puffin about a week ago, who saw CrestHawk entering an old storage room in the Hotel basement.

When no one had heard from CrestHawk in over a day, we investigated the room to find furni strewn all over the place...as if it had been involved in some kind of explosion. Digging through the furni, we found a giant boulder lodged deep into the ground below...with a note from CrestHawk engraved into it. In summary, he explains he's been transported to the Prehistoric Era by a specific combination of furni and a teleporter and needs our help immediately! Unfortunately, the rest of us have no idea how to arrange the furni to create the time machine that sent CrestHawk across the age...but YOU can help! We've added all the furni that was involved in the time-shattering explosion to the Catalog and are willing to reward those who can design a time machine to send us back to save CrestHawk! Time Traveling Furni

Create a time machine using special selected furni. Help us find CrestHawk and you could win an exclusive badge!

If you're caught up with prior events...it looks like our fellow Habbo Staff member, CrestHawk, is in quite a pickle - and I don't mean the delicious kind you put on a sandwich. More along the lines of being thrown back into the Prehistoric Era and caught between two ferocious dinosaurs. The good news is that YOU can help!

Get Time Traveling Furni Deal for just 17 CREDITS!

CrestHawk left us a note from the past regarding how he was mysteriously sent back through time. Visit the Catalog, under the 8-Bit Trip section, and you'll find a Prehistoric Deal that contains the furni we believe is pivotal for going back in time. The entire deal will only cost you around 17 Credits! That's actually a pretty amazing price, since a Mood Light is included as well, which normally costs about 12 Credits. If you were planning on getting a Mood Light for your room, this is a perfect chance to net some additional furni!

We placed the furni on sale individually as well, just in case you wanted to get just one or two items. But how does all this help us finding CrestHawk, you ask?

Prehistoric Time Travel Room Comp

We need YOU to recreate the time machine that sent CrestHawk back in time! Problem is, we've got no idea what it looks like. However, from CrestHawk's notes, we understand that you have to use the furni in the Prehistoric Deal and a teleporter of some kind in the center. We really dig the Telephone Booth tele, especially since it's associated with another, totally excellent time-traveling movie! Feel free to design your time machine with other furni as well but it MUST include the furni from the Prehistoric Deal with a teleporter in the middle!

Don't forget to set some dramatic lighting to the room with your new Mood Light! Take a screenshot of the room and send it to competitions.us@sulake.com. Make the subject line, Prehistoric Time Machine and don't forget to include your Habbo name. Deadline for this competition is Friday, May 14th @ 9am PT. Twenty Habbos who are able to successfully recreate a working time machine will be rewarded with the 8 Bit Trip Badge!

Habbo Staff will also select five rooms from the twenty winners to be placed on a special 8 Bit Trip floor! Make sure you don't remove any furni from your submitted room. You will be able to visit the rooms on Friday, May 14th under the Official Rooms tab in the Navigator.

Hi blog readers!! Seeing how the staff on Habbo have been busy the past couple days because of the .com+.ca merge they don't have time to always answer or help the users with anything. I am just posting this for the readers of this blog and the users that play Habbo.com to always remember to use the Habbo Help tool. There are always people in player support that are glad and happy to help the players on Habbo.com. If the player support aren't as busy they reply right away but sometimes they take 2 business days to reply.

How do I get to the Habbo help tool?

Well go to the bottom of your Habbo landing page and click the button that says "Contact Us" it will take you to a page that has a link for you to click that says "Help Tool". I will post a click able link to the Help Tool on this blog entry for you guys.

We got everything you need to create a killer Fashion Show, now you gotta bring it on!

All the greatest fashion designers of the world put on catwalk shows to remember, can you do the same? Create a video of your fashion show, complete with models, killer outfits, and all the glitz and glam you can think of!

Do you have what it takes to wow the industry??

HERE IS HOW TO ENTER:

* Put on a Fashion show in the Hotel - you can build your own room(s), use the Fashion Lounge catwalk or strut it in the Beauty Salon public room. You can have as many people in your video as you want, but only the creator will be eligible to win.

* Shoot the video using screencasting software like Hypercam

* Keep the video at 2 minutes or less.

* Once the video is done, upload it to YouTube.com, please include your Habbo name in the YouTube description.

* Paste the link to your video into the poll below.

Deadline for entering is Thursday May 13, 9am ET / 6am PT.

PRIZES:
10 Fashion Show videographers will be picked from the crop, and they will all receive a Fashion Show badge, and a couple of Rare icons from two of the hottest fashion meccas in the world - London’s Big Ben and the Italian Gondola!

Our celebrity Runway judge, Miley Cyrus, has a new single and album coming out on June 14th, mark the date in your calendars!

After selling 15 million records worldwide and touting 5 chart topping album debuts, Miley Cyrus is set the release her new album Can't Be Tamed on Hollywood Records on June 21st.

Cyrus stars in the hit Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana,” which is currently in production in its fourth season. She also starred in the feature film, “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” which topped the box office on its opening weekend. She currently stars in the drama, “The Last Song” scripted by Nicolas Sparks.

Sit Back, Relax!

We got some updates from the tech team, and to help us all breathe easier, we are introducing a long weekend of Relax Furni!

Some of you have reported problems with your account after the merge, with some Furni items going missing. We have already identified the problem and which Habbo accounts that were affected, and we will be the fixing the issue as soon as possible.

We are also getting to the bottom of the issue that had most CA badges showing up with incorrect names and descriptions. A solution should be in place tomorrow (fingers and toes crossed).

In other news, we figured that since all this change might make even the calmest of us feel a wee bit on edge, what better way to battle the stress than by building a nice little spa withthe Relax Furni? The sound of trickling water, the serene colours, smell of orchids... ahh.. we are already feeling easy breezy!

So take a walk on the relaxed side - find your inner peace in the Catalog now!

This big Habbo Hotel just got even bigger!

After months of waiting and weeks of anticipation, the Habbo.com and Habbo.ca hotels have finally become one! The biggest reward from the merging of the two hotels is simple...more Habbos, more friends and more fun.

It's the first time in Habbo history where two hotels have merged and we're so anxious to meet and greet everyone.That being said, we've decided to throw a big 'ol party over the weekend!

Design a room around the theme mentioned in the previous event, A Welcoming Party. The goal is to have an amazing looking room, jam packed with as many Habbos as possible! Snap a screenshot of your room and be sure to have the room widget showing for the name/description.

COM + CA Poll Results

Find out more about the Furni compensation program, which items will be compensated, and what the weekend poll showed.

First of all, thank you for responding to our latest poll about the merge!

We are really happy to see that the general attitude towards the merge has improved quite a lot since the first poll we did in March. The numbers are looking more and more positive, and 41% of you even said that you are looking forward to the merge more now than when it was announced.

As promised, we randomly picked 100 Habbos that all received a duck as a thank you for responding, so check your inventory to see if you got one!

Since so many of us are eagerly waiting for the merge to happen, the techies are obviously working extra hard dotting all the Is and crossing all the Ts (you don't want to know what they're doing to the Ws, trust us).

RARE FURNI COMPENSATION
In other news, as promised, we have gone through and analyzed the item values in the five Hotels that are merging, to find out whether there will be any issues. What we're seeing when comparing between the new Big Hotel and the current Hotels, is:

1) Some items will raise in value,
2) Some item values will not change significantly, and
3) Some items will drop in value.

The #1 and #2 type items will not be a problem to anyone, but since we want to keep all our players happy we've created a list of items which will be most likely to drop. For each one of these items, the owner of the item will get a special compensation item, so you might want to keep the item rather than trade it.

(For those technically inclined, the method used to check the change in value is comparing the amount of items of each type that are in circulation in relation to how many active traders exist in each of the current Hotels, versus the final merged Hotel, and calculating the relative change in item scarcity, and applying that change into the recent aftermarket trade value of the item.)

The items that will receive a compensation are all listed below. If your item is not listed, we're expecting its value will roughly stay the same, or even raise in value.

US and CA Habbos will receive compensation gifts immediately when the merge happens, and we'll post more details on when the rest of the world will receive theirs in upcoming days...

Fashion 101

When it comes to haute couture, you know your stuff!

What was the real name of Coco Chanel, the French fashion entrepreneur, famous for her mens wear inspired fashion? Was it really Curly Sue? No, it was obviously Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, as 75% of you knew very well.

As for the scary editor in The Devil Wears Prada, she could be none other than long time fashion staple, Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue.

Super model Kate Moss designed a line of cool fashion for less for Topshop in 2007, and has continued that relationship since - good news for fashionistas on a budget!

As for the daughter of a Beatle, that one was obviously Stella McCartney, whose father is Sir Paul McCartney.

All girls should have an LBD in their closet, for those cocktail nights or emergency dress-up moments. Speaking of course of the Little Black Dress.

Then for the one you all knew, D&G is none other than Dolce & Gabbana.

And last, but not least, those coveted red soles are the brain child of designer Christian Louboutin, who got inspired by his assistant's fiery red nail polish!

The Winning Entry is...

US Habbos have spoken, and we have a winning design that will go on to represent us in the global competition!

15 finalists, 13674 votes and only 1 winner. A winner that in the end had almost twice the amount of votes as number two. A clear favorite, in other words!

The designer that US Habbos chose to represent them in the Global competition is... *drum roll* .. Funie!
